MODIFY OR DELETE SYSTEM FILES IN WINDOWS 7

  • REMEMBER DELETING OR MODIFYING YOUR SYSTEM FILE's WILL CAUSE YOUR WINDOWS TO CRASH & LOSS OF YOUR DATA. PROPER KNOWLEDGE OF WINDOWS SYSTEM FILE's IS NECESSARY.
  • THIS TRICK WILL NOT WORK ALWAYS. SOMETIMES YOU MAY HAVE TO BOOT IT IN SAFE MODE TO DELETE THE FILE & SEE ACTUAL CHANGES.
  • THE WINDOWS SYSTEM FILES ARE OWNED BY TRUSTEDINSTALLER SERVICE BY DEFAULT & WINDOWS FILE PROTECTION WILL KEEP THEM FROM BEING OVER-WRITTEN.
  • Open CMD & Type to take ownership as -
  takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\en-US\winload.exe.mui

  • Here we are Modifying the "winload.exe.mui" System File.
  • Now Type command to take rights to delete that System File -
cacls C:\Windows\System32\en-US\winload.exe.mui /G ronnie:F

  • cacls command giving full rights to modify the System File. "ronnie" my windows administrator name. ":F" means forcefully you are taking rights.
